CAIRO CHAOS --- WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
We just completed the 12th day of the Egyptian unrest. We live in unstable times so what’s another uprising? Who is stirring the pot and for what purpose? Is it really spontaneous as the news media would have us believe or is it being directed covertly? Is the purpose to divert Egyptian control to the Muslim brotherhood or is it to light up the mid east with war? Or is the motive simply larceny as is most war? Is it going to escalate or is it going to settle down with peace returning to the streets in the cities of Egypt?
And for those who believe there is an omnipotent God and that the Bible is His word, the big question is, “Is this prophecy fulfillment?”
To begin searching for answers, let’s turn to the book of Ezekiel, chapter 30, and begin reading in verse 1. “The word of the LORD came again unto me saying:
2 “Son of man, prophesy and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD; howl you, Woe worth the day!
3 “For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
So we see here the time setting for the prophecy. To those who believe we are entering into the last days of this age, this should get our undivided attention. Continuing in verse 4: “And the sword shall come upon Egypt and great pain shall be in Ethiopia when the slain shall fall in Egypt…”
So far Ethiopia has not been mentioned among the nations that are beginning to stir because of the unrest in Egypt but this indicates that Ethiopia will be very involved as this escalates into an invasion of Egypt. We see in the next verse that it is going to involve even more countries:
5 “Ethiopia and Libya and Lydia…”
The very next verse goes on to say, “They also that uphold Egypt shall fall…” But we see no nation poised to invade Egypt, so just who can it be that is preparing to invade Egypt? Let’s drop down to verse 10. “Thus says the Lord GOD; ‘I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon.”
We have already seen that the time setting for this prophecy is the end time and our knowledge of Biblical history tells us that Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, has been dead for two millennia. Is he to be resurrected or is this “Nebuchadnezzar” the king of modern Babylon? The Babylon that is to be destroyed as noted in Revelation 18 and Jeremiah 51.
We know there is to be an end time Babylon and it is to be the world’s foremost trading complex. It very well may be called Tyre as well in Ezekiel 27. So is it just possible that this modern Nebuchadnezzar lives in Washington, DC?
So, am I saying that America, (the Image of the 4th beast of Daniel 7 --- see Rev 13), is about to invade Egypt? Well, not single handedly --- for we see in the next verse:
11 “He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations (U.N.?), shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.”
Surely this cannot be --- we are a peaceful nation --- aren’t we? Why would we invade Egypt? What possible motive could we have?
Above all it would have to be done politically correct. It would not be called war on CNN but rather a “Police action” to return stability to the area. No doubt it would be called a “U.N. Action”.
Could it be that America’s CIA is there already stirring the pot? Perhaps you buy the notion that a 34 year old lady in Cairo is doing the planning and execution of this uprising as reported on CNN. But what could be the motive? For the answer to this, we must turn to another prophecy that deals with the same event and that is Daniel 11, beginning in verse 40: “And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him and the king of the north (military arm of the Roman Empire) shall come against him like a whirlwind with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries and shall overflow and pass over.
41 “He shall enter also into the glorious land and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom and Moab and the chief of the children of Ammon.
42 “He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
The motive? Continuing in verse 43, “But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver and over all the precious things of Egypt; and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.”
Now enter Russia and China on the side of the Muslim --- Continuing in verse 44 “But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy and utterly to make away many.”
Evidently this modern day Nebuchadnezzar will move his “tabernacle” (temporary command center?) to Jerusalem to be closer to the action and that as we see in verse 45 is his undoing? “And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end and none shall help him.”
Could this all happen before November of 2012? If so, could he be the one spoken of in Revelation 17:10 that is to “…continue a short space”?
We definitely need to be watching the middle east in the days and weeks to come and we need to discern what is really going on --- not just what the (mis) managed media tells us.
