WISDOM

Mankind has amassed more knowledge than at any time in our written history by virtue of having developed a sophisticated tool for storage and retrieval. The tragedy of this is we have sacrificed wisdom at the altar of knowledge.  I know of no better illustration of this than the meltdown of a nuclear reactor in Japan that is poisoning the whole world with radiation.  And this is only one reactor.  Think about a dozen or more in meltdown.

In Proverbs 9:10, we read that, "Fear of the Eternal is the beginning of wisdom."  The world has moved away from a fear of the Eternal and into idolatry.  This was foretold some 2,600 years ago by the prophet Daniel through his interpretation of a dream for King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.  The dream was a message from God to the king "…to make known to the king what shall be in the latter days."  Daniel 2:29. 

Not only did Daniel interpret the dream for the king but he first had to reconstruct the dream because the king had forgotten it (or said he had). We pick it up in Daniel 2, verse 31:   

"You, O King, saw a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before you and the form thereof was terrible."

32  "This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and arms of silver, his belly and thighs of brass."

33  "His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay."

36  "This is the dream and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king."

37  "You, O King, are a king of kings: for the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, and strength and glory."

38  And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven, has he given into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all.  You are the head of gold."

39  "And after you shall arise another kingdom, inferior to you and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth."

So we see that these first three kingdoms represented by this great image "…bear rule over all the earth."  The last one does also and has ruled the earth for the past 2,000 years.  But what I want to focus your attention on at this point is the degradation of the materials of construction of the dream image.  The head was of fine gold and rep-resented Nebuchadnezzar himself (see verse 38).  The torso was of silver and please note that both of these are base metals with gold higher on the nobility chart than silver.  As we descend down the body of this "tapestry of time" unfurled for Nebuchadnezzar to see what would be happening in the "latter days", we see the first man-made metal (alloy) is the substance of the third kingdom. 

It is interesting to note that the rulers of both of the first two of four empires to rule the earth from Nebuchadnezzar's day until the invasion from outer space (Daniel 7), knew and acknowledged that there is a God (beginning of wisdom).  We see King Neb's acknowledgement in Daniel 4:37.  We see the acknowledgement of Cyrus (king of Medo Persia) in Ezra 1:2.

In the days of the third empire, represented by the belly and thighs of the king's dream image, the world became divided.  The historical aspect of this division will be covered shortly in another article and this is because it will take more space than what I have room for in this article. 

What I want to illustrate in this article is the degradation of materials from King Neb's day right on down to the end of the age when the ten toes, which are a mixture of iron and clay, will be destroyed by the invasion from outer space.  Once we have seen the historical coverage of the evolution of these four empires, we will understand that these are the two major players contending for world dominion today and are the Muslim and Christians. 

The bottom line and the precept I want to leave you with is this:  Man is not approaching godhood by natural selection as Darwinian folly would have us believe but rather is regressing from a knowledge of the Eternal in Neb's day (wisdom), as indicated by the gold of the head, to a state of savages, as indicated by the iron/clay mix of the toes, but with awesome weaponry.

We have arrived at this pinnacle of ignorance through idolatry that is cranked into virtually every facet of our lives.  It is for this reason that we stand on the threshold of WW III and the reduction of population on planet earth by some 90%!  All of Lucifer's governments and their support institutions will be destroyed and this destruction will begin in earnest as soon as Damascus becomes a "…smoking ruin" by whomever's hand.
